How You Can Benefit From Life Coaching

By Laura Gallagher

For a lot of people they may feel frustrated. They may find it difficult to get the job they want. Alternatively if they are in employment they may feel unsatisfied in their working environment. One way of improving your circumstances is Chicago life coaching.

This type of motivational communication was originally developed by a former coach. When he retired he used the motivational skills that he used to get his team performing and adapted them for people to help them reach goals in their working lives. A lot of former professional athletes become life coaches for this reason.

While it is true that you technically do not need formal qualifications for this role there are schools available that can train people. Equally it is worth remembering that there are plenty of people with a lot of experience that may not have formal qualification. Their insight can be just as if not more valuable for people looking to achieve targets in their working lives.

The idea is that a coach discusses with you what you want to achieve. For example if you want to get a promotion they would look at ways to increase your productivity. In some cases a person may think they are being more productive when in reality it is not helping. Some people eat at their desk while working instead of taking a break. However this is often less productive than people who properly take breaks and are better able to focus on their work.

It is important to remember that a coach is not a therapist. This means they focus on present issues that are relevant to their work rather than past problems or family issues. Ideally you want to find someone who has experience that is relevant to your business. Alternatively you may want someone with presence such as an experienced businessman or a former sporting professional that people will respect and listen to.

There are numerous websites where you can find Chicago Life Coaching professionals. They come from a variety of backgrounds and it is worth contacting a few in order to see if their methods are appropriate for your needs. Look online for company directories so you can start comparing services.

MLM Sponsoring Tip: The Purpose of Prospecting Is to Disqualify

This MLM success tip article analyzes the old way and new way of prospecting and the difference between prospecting and selling.
The old way of Prospecting
The old way of prospecting teaches to believe that all buyers are liars and not to believe the prospect until he says no 7 or more time. This old method teaches that there is a war between buyer and seller and that the job of the salesperson is to win. That when the prospect say no, that means he or she requires more information and you must handle the objection. If the salesperson does not make the sale it his or her fault. This old way believes the problem is scarcity of prospects.
This way of selling is hard on the salesperson that is why most people hate prospecting and the sales person suffers endless rejection
The New Way teaches the purpose of Prospecting is to Disqualify.
The new way of prospecting assumes there are enough prospects who are interested and qualified. The new way teaches that if buyers says they are not interested, you do not try to handle the objection but instead you believe them and move on.This new method sees prospecting the way the old gold prospector did. After the old gold prospector shovel the sand in his gold pan his main purpose is to disregard that which is not gold like the dirt, grit and mud.The more non gold he disregards the more gold he finds.
That is what the new way of Prospecting teaches, the more non buyers you disregard the more buyers you find. Instead of attempting to keep everyone you communicate with, you try to get rid of them. This MLM sponsoring tip is suggesting that you have an abundant mentality instead of scarcity mentality which what the old method teaches.
The first time I heard that prospecting to disqualify non buyer, I just couldn't understand that and it didn't make any sense, but after pondering about it for a while, I realized that indeed it is a very good advice. Prospecting is defined as the act of searching for something of value.
Prospecting is the starting point of the sales cycle.
There is a difference between prospecting and selling. When prospecting you are sorting and are trying to find those who are qualified for your MLM business opportunity and your goal is to disqualify those who are not ready, which will be the majority. Selling begins after prospecting, when you find people who are qualified. In the selling phase you explain to them what you are offering and help them make an informed decision. Most distributors do not know the difference between prospecting and selling and try to do the selling in the prospecting phase, which causes a lot of rejection.
I hope this MLM success tip helps you enjoy prospecting and succeed in your MLM business.
Before you engage in your prospecting activity you will need qualified people to contact, people who are interested in what you have to offer which will make reaching your goals effortless and enjoyable. Prospecting in business is a word that elicits feelings of joy to dread. After all, many small business owners to sales professionals content that prospecting is hard work. For some, they strike more veins of Fool's Gold are hit than the real gold. So if the rewards from your prospecting efforts are not where they want to be, what are you doing to change the results?
Winning in prospecting begins by having the following essential items:
#1 - Healthy mule or horse (vehicle) - How you get to all those potential gold fields is very much dependent upon your mode of transportation. Keeping your horse well maintained will allow it to serve you longer and not require as many serious trips to the vet (a.k.a. automobile mechanic).
Tools - What tools you decide to bring along can either make or break your prospecting success. These tools include: professional business cards; variety of marketing and selling scripts; well crafted executive marketing summary; engaging 30 second elevator speech; thank you notes; marketing materials; follow-up process; search engine optimized website; goal achievement worksheet; and a proven sales process.
Skills - Knowing how and when to use your tools are directly connected to your marketing, selling, self-leadership or overall sales skills. When you hone your prospecting skills, you will know how to identify the real gold (qualified potential customers) from Fool's Gold (suspects and prospects).
Map - Where to find and how to get to all of those gold fields can be found within your map. Since a map is really a plan in how to get to where you want to go, you must carry and look at your plan on a daily basis. This map should be researched based upon your past prospecting and sales history including numbers such as total sales; total active clients; total lost clients; average sales value; number of sales per clients, etc. Additionally, your map should scrutinize the specific terrain (demographics and psychographics) of your desired gold field (target market).
Belief - Even with the best horse, the most effective tools, incredibly honed sales skills, marketing and self leadership skills and the most detailed map, unless you believe in your ability to prospect, you can forget everything else. If you wake up dreading each morning, then you definitely need a change of attitude. If you believe that the economy has gone south, then you need change that belief. What I share with my clients is "Change your Beliefs; Improve Your Results." Winning in prospecting begins and ends with your brain.

MLM Prospecting: Old-School Belly-To-Belly VS Online Attraction Marketing

MLM prospecting is a hotly debated topic among network marketers. What is the best way to prospect? Is old-school, belly-to-belly, three-foot-rule style prospecting the way to go or is new-school, attraction marketing and lead generation more effective for building a large organization quickly?
Let's Break MLM Prospecting Down
Prospecting is literally "the search for precious metals or stones, a physical labor, involving traversing, panning, sifting and looking for signs of mineralization." MLM Prospecting is very similar; it is the search for precious people - you're literally traversing, panning, sifting and looking for signs of a good business partner.
There are lots of ways to go about your MLM prospecting, just as there were during the gold rush. The vast majority of prospectors headed out with a pick and shovel and a gold pan and went to work. These small-scale operations were at times successful - an educated guess and a little luck could definitely pay off. For the most part though, success was limited. There's only so much ground you can cover on your own with a pick and shovel.
Think of this method as your old-school MLM prospecting method. You head out, equipped with business cards, pamphlets and CDs, determined to share your opportunity with anyone who comes within three feet and has a heart beat. You approach people, hand out your pamphlets, pitch your business, and sift for possible business partners or product users, and of the 30 people you talk to that day, three sign up. Great success right?! Hmmm... let's look a little closer.
The Problem with Old-School MLM Prospecting
First of all, I was being generous with the numbers - most marketers can't speak with anywhere near 30 people a day. Most accountability calls with top marketers only require three looks a day, and even that is a stretch for most people. I also gave a sign up ratio of 1 in 10... that's extremely high for our industry and it's estimated that 4% industry-wide is closer to accurate.
At that rate, if you prospect every day for 30 days, you would get 3.6 new sign ups - we'll round up and say 4. Still, one a week isn't bad. But then why aren't more people successful with this form of MLM prospecting?
Rejection
It's sad but true - people don't like being "sold." Just think about your own reaction when a telemarketer calls, or someone shows up to "lock in your energy costs." You don't like it do you? And 9 times out of ten you'll do whatever you have to do to avoid the situation all together. And when you can't you either hang up, or listen politely until you can make an excuse to get back to what you were doing before the uninvited interruption. And all the while there is a feeling of tension building inside of you... "What are they trying to sell me now?"
You don't like being pitched and neither does anyone else. And the truth is, not everyone is as polite as you and I are about saying no. I don't care how thick your skin is, getting hung up on and doors slammed in your face sucks... I know, I've had it done to me... lots.
Does Old School MLM Prospecting Work?
Apparently it does, for about 3% of people. I'm not going to tell you not to use these methods - there are lots of very successful marketers who swear by it. But if this is going to be your strategy I highly recommend growing a thick skin - you're going to need it.
New School MLM Prospecting - What's the Difference?
Back to our gold prospecting analogy - let's pretend that instead of picks, shovels and a gold pan you head out with a metal detector and a magnetic surveying device. You'd do a lot less digging initially, but you'd also save yourself a lot of time digging in the wrong places. Now let's say you bring in an excavator - you get a lot more digging done, a lot more quickly right? It's still all you - it's just you on steroids.
That's what attraction marketing, lead generation and automated email campaigns do for your MLM prospecting. It can still all be done by one person, you can just leverage technologically advanced tools to make your prospecting task easier, faster, more effective.
The New-School Edge: ZERO REJECTION
What is it that makes new-school MLM prospecting so attractive? A complete lack of rejection. Seriously. If you do this right, the only people you'll ever be in touch with are people who have specifically requested information from you. The people who don't want what you have to offer will either not request information in the first place, or they will unsubscribe from your list. But never will they question why you're calling them... they know who you are, and what you do long before the initial conversation.
New School MLM Prospecting by the Numbers
Using the same 4% sign up rate, let's look at how the numbers stack up. A well-crafted attraction marketing system can bring in unlimited leads - literally, unlimited. But for our purposes, let's be conservative and say 10 leads per day. Over 30 days that amounts to 300 leads and translates to 12 sign ups. Over a 1-year period that equates to 144 new distributors in your business, as opposed to old-school methods that come in at 48 new sign ups per year.
So Who Wins? Old-School or New-School MLM Prospecting? In my humble opinion, old-school marketing just doesn't make sense, any more than heading off into the mountains with a pick and a gold pan. That's not to say it doesn't work, just that as technology evolves there are faster, easier ways of accomplishing the same outcome.
Learning how to prospect either way involves a learning curve - you just have to decide where you want to spend your time. Are you going to learn how to prospect like its 1848 or are you going to harness the power of the technology that is right at your fingertips?
